Why Does My Dog Lay Like This?

Ever seen your pup flop onto the floor with their legs stretched out like a little 🐸 frog? That’s called a sploot, and it’s a classic dog move.

Dogs sploot because it feels good on their hips and belly, helps them stretch, and keeps them cool on tile or wood floors. It’s also a sign they feel safe and relaxed.

Some breeds like Corgis, French Bulldogs, and Retrievers are sploot experts. If your pup moves fine and shows no pain, it’s just their way of chilling out.

Family Fun Run/Walk

Get ready for the annual Howl-O-Ween 3K-9 Family Run 🏃‍♀️ hosted by the YMCA of South Florida! Bring your 🐕 pup, lace up your sneakers, and support the YMCA Aquatics Education Program for Water Safety Education and Drowning Prevention.

Costumes are encouraged, so make sure you and your furry friend are dressed to impress. Enjoy a day packed with fun activities, vendors, giveaways, and excitement for all ages and breeds!

For A Good Cause!

Calling all fur babies! Get ready for the 7th Annual Halloween Doggie 👺 Costume Contest. Scary, adorable, artsy, and creative costumes are all welcome. Prizes go to the winners, but every pup is a ⭐ star. Abandoned Pet Rescue will be on-site sharing their mission and raising funds with a 50/50 raffle.

Straight From My Cart…

👉 Jinx Dog Food - This is the kibble I feed my dogs, though not fully. I usually do a 50/50 mix with cooked ground turkey or ground beef and sweet potato. My two pups love it.

👉 Dimmable Light Bulbs - I thought I’d need new wiring and a special switch, but these bulbs 💡 came with a remote. Setup took less than 20 seconds, and they work great. Now the dogs can relax under a nice, soft glow.
