The One Vaccine Most Dog Owners Skip
Most dogs in Broward County are up to date on the basics - rabies, distemper, parvo. But one vaccine that often gets overlooked is leptospirosis, and in South Florida ☀️ it matters more than most people realize.
Lepto is a bacterial infection 🦠 spread through water and soil contaminated by wildlife urine. With our year-round rain, standing water, and heavy wildlife activity, Broward dogs are at real risk.
It is not part of the standard vaccine 💉 package, so ask your vet about it specifically at your next visit.

Sit. Stay. Adopt.
The Bamboo Grove 🎋 is teaming up with Abandoned Pet Rescue for a Dog Show and Adoption Event you do not want to miss. Jim K9 Dog Training will host two live dog show sessions, and adoptable pets from Abandoned Pet Rescue will be on site looking for their forever homes.
50% of the proceeds go directly to Abandoned Pet Rescue. Tickets 🎟️ must be purchased online for this event.

Spring Kids Camp
All Animals, All Day Long
The Humane Society of Broward County is running Spring Camp March 16-20 and it is the perfect spring break for any kid who loves 🐕 animals.
From 9am to 3pm each day, kids get hands-on, supervised time with animals learn about animal care and responsibility, and keep busy with crafts, games, and activities - all 🐰 animal-themed, all day long.
Campers also go home with a camp t-shirt, an animal toy, a treat they made themselves, and a pizza 🍕 lunch on Friday.
Kids leave tired, happy, and a little more animal-obsessed than before.

The Cast-Iron Dog Stomach
A dog's stomach acid is significantly stronger than a human's - strong enough to break down raw bones. This is why wild dogs and wolves can survive on carcasses that would make a human seriously ill.
