The Titer Test Can Tell You!

Did you know? You can request a titer test for your dog to determine if they really need a booster 💉 vaccination.

This blood 🩸 test measures the level of antibodies in your dog's system to see if they’re still protected against diseases like distemper, parvovirus, and adenovirus.

It's a great way to avoid over-vaccinating while ensuring your pup stays 🐶 healthy and safe! Always check with your vet to see if a titer test is right for your dog.

As the leaves change and the air cools, what better way to enjoy fall than walking with your 🐶 pets and fellow animal lovers?

The event offers a 🎃 Halloween-themed walk, fun activities for pets and families, and a raffle. There are also prizes for the best 👻 costumes for pets, individuals, and groups!

All proceeds will support the Humane Society of Greater ☀️ Miami, helping animals in their care now and in the future.

Brave Woman Fends Off Gator
84-Year-Old Woman Attacked!

On Thursday night, 84-year-old Del Boppel was doing her usual routine - taking her dog, Queen, for a walk near her home at the Julia Mobile Home Park. But this time, something unexpected happened.

As she approached the pond closer than usual, she noticed a pair of eyes staring back at her. Realizing the danger, Boppel acted quickly and tossed her dog into the air to keep her safe.

"It was like a torpedo. I’ve never seen anything move that fast," Boppel recalled. "I didn’t even have time to think."

In a matter of seconds, a 7-foot alligator lunged at her. With little time to react, Boppel instinctively punched the gator in the face. But the gator bit back, taking a chunk out of her leg and fingers before retreating.

Boppel has previously voiced concerns about the large alligators in the area to her community, but she says her complaints have gone unanswered.

Despite her injuries, Boppel remains in good spirits. She’s optimistic about her recovery and looks forward to reuniting with her dog, Queen, once she returns home.
