Librela Linked To Illnesses, Deaths

A popular arthritis medication for dogs has sickened thousands of pets and likely caused others to die, the Food and Drug Administration said in an ⚠️ urgent warning.

Dangerous side effects from the injectable 💉 canine drug Librela (Bedinvetmab) - used to treat osteoarthritis joint pain - have been linked to seizures, lameness, and loss of muscle control, the agency said.

More than 3,600 cases of debilitating dog health problems caused by the medication were reported between January 2023 and March 2024, the FDA said in the 🗒️ cautionary letter published Monday.

DIY Paw Balm
Paw Protection Made Simple

Protect your pup’s paws 🐾 from harsh conditions with this easy homemade balm. Whether it’s Florida’s hot sidewalks or burning beach sand, this DIY mix keeps pads soft, hydrated, and protected.

Combine 2 tablespoons each of coconut oil 🥥 and beeswax 🐝, along with 1 tablespoon of shea butter. Melt, mix, and pour into a small container to cool. Beeswax forms a protective barrier, while coconut oil and shea butter soothe and moisturize.

Apply before walks 🐕‍🦺 to shield against hot and rough surfaces. For extra care, massage a little into their paws before bed - it’s a bonding moment and lets the balm work overnight. Bonus: It’s all-natural and safe if licked! 👅
