Saving Sage is looking for dedicated animal lovers ❤️ to join our cat and dog teams! As a volunteer, you'll play a key 🗝️ role in caring for our animals and ensuring they stay happy and healthy.

📅 Commitment: At least 1 shift per week (3-4 hours)
⏰ Shift Times: Morning (8:30 AM) & Evening (5:30 PM)

Location: 8736 W Commercial Blvd, Sunrise, FL 33351

Duties include interacting with the animals, walking, playing, feeding, and helping to keep the shelter clean. No experience? No problem - training is provided!

Pumpkin Power!

Ground pumpkin seeds are a great natural supplement for dogs. They contain cucurbitacin, a compound that helps expel 🚽 intestinal parasites like tapeworms 🪱 and roundworms. They’re also packed with nutrients like zinc, magnesium, and omega-3s, which support healthy skin, coat, and overall well-being.

To prepare, remove the shells 🐚 and grind the seeds into a fine powder. Sprinkle the appropriate amount onto your dog’s food once a day - 1/4 teaspoon for small dogs, 1/2 teaspoon for medium dogs, and 1 teaspoon for large dogs. Plain, unsalted seeds are best.

If using them for parasite 🐛 control, feed them daily for 1–2 weeks. Otherwise, they make a great occasional supplement. Always check with your vet before adding new foods to your dog’s diet! 🐾
