Revised Spay-Neuter Timelines
Updated Spay-Neuter Timelines for Popular Dog Breeds

A recent study has updated the ideal timeline for spaying or neutering popular dog breeds to help prevent certain joint disorders and cancers. While the original 2013 study covered 35 well-known breeds, the new guidelines now include data for six additional popular breeds: Siberian Husky, German Shorthaired Pointer, German Wirehaired Pointer, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Newfoundland, and Mastiff.
