The Dryer Sheet Fur Fix

Loose fur taking over your couch? Run a dryer sheet over furniture, car seats, or clothing, and the anti-static coating helps lift fur right off the fabric - way faster than a lint roller. A slightly damp, used sheet works even better and leaves less residue behind.

One quick note: keep the sheets away from your pup. The chemicals can irritate a dog's skin and mouth, so this trick is for your furniture, not your furry friend.

Shelter Shindig
TLC For Shelter Pets

Broward County Animal Care is teaming up with Pets Broward for a "Shelter Shindig," a volunteer-centered event focused on giving shelter dogs and cats some much-needed TLC ❤️ and encouraging the community to get involved in animal welfare.

Volunteers will help with activities such as bathing, brushing, and walking dogs, spending time with cats, and preparing enrichment 🦴 items for the animals.

Celebration
America’s 250th Birthday

Red, White & Wharf is taking over The Wharf Fort Lauderdale for a big 4th of July celebration 🎉 on the New River. The day will be packed with patriotic fun, including bull riding, axe throwing, a cornhole competition, face painting, a hot dog eating contest, an apple pie contest, potato sack races, yard pong, 🎤 live DJs, and waterfront views.

The first 250 guests get a 🤠 cowboy hat, and guests who RSVP can receive a complimentary American flag.

Pet Pantry
Community Effort

The City of Tamarac Pet Pantry is open on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month from 1 to 6 PM, providing pet food 🍗 to qualified Tamarac residents experiencing financial hardship. If your household meets the income guidelines, you may be eligible for 🛟 support.

This program helps make sure local families do not have to struggle alone, because our pets are ❤️ family too.

Everglades Angels Dog Rescue is teaming up with Scoopy Doo's for a sweet afternoon of meet-and-greets with lovable Angel Dogs looking for their forever homes. Stop by, say hi, get a few boops in, and maybe even fall in ❤️ love. Adoption applications will be welcome on the spot.

We have some new updates rolling out soon, and we think you are going to love them. Our long-awaited 🗓️ Event Manager is almost ready, making it easier to find dog-friendly happenings, set reminders for the ones you do not want to miss, and even browse listings north and south of Broward. Are you an event organizer? Great. You will also have an easy way to submit yours to the site calendar so local dog lovers can find them.

We are also launching a new ⭐️ Ambassador Program where you can accept local tasks, like taking photos at dog parks, dog-friendly restaurants, and other pup-approved spots, and submit reviews for dog services in exchange for gift card rewards.

Plus, our brand-new business directory is being built from the ground up with more categories, better features, easier search tools, and a simpler way to find the local dog services you need.
