Pup Hack
Help For Nervous Riders

Some dogs hop in the car like they are headed to a 🎉 party. Others act like you just announced bath time and fireworks all at once. A light lavender scent may help take the edge off. One small study found that dogs exposed to lavender during car rides showed fewer signs of stress, like whining and restless movement. Keep it light and test it on a short ride first.

Safety still matters. Do not put essential oil directly on your dog, your dog's fur, or anything they might 👅 lick. A little scent nearby goes a long way, and too much in a small space can be a bad idea. Just a touch is plenty, not a full spa package on wheels.

Foam Party
Night Out For Dogs

Get ready for the ultimate BarkYard Foam Party, where the drinks are cold, the dogs are social, and the good vibes last all night. A live DJ will be 🎧 spinning, food trucks will be serving, and pet vendors 🐾 will be on site with local goodies.

Expect plenty of foam party 💦 fun, so bring your crew and your pup!

Make sure to register your pup before attending. All pups must be current on rabies, distemper, and bordetella. Dogs over 10 months old must be spayed or ✂️ neutered to enter.

Children are welcome, but guests must be 18 or older to enter the off-leash areas.

Beagle Day
National Beagle Day Meetup

South Florida Beagle Rescue is hosting a fun meetup in honor of National Beagle Day and Earth Day. Expect wagging tails, fresh air, and a morning with fellow beagle lovers.

Whether you are already part of the SFBR family or just getting to know the group, this is a nice chance to get out and enjoy 😊 some beagle-filled company.

Private Daycare On The Go

This is not a traditional daycare - it is a private small-group, door-to-door adventure experience with active supervision, transportation, and enrichment.

Donation Drive
Help Broward Shelter Pets

The Town of Davie is hosting a pet supply donation drive now through Thursday, April 9, 2026. Donations will help support the Humane Society of Broward County and the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Acceptable items include toys for dogs and cats, soft treats for dogs and cats, towels and blankets that are gently used, and wee wee pads.

Residents can drop off items at the locations listed on the Town of Davie website during the following dates and times.
