Paws For Thought
“In the silent language of eyes and tails, dogs teach us the profound art of understanding without words.”

5 Interesting Facts About Dogs
1) Many dogs can learn over 100 words and ✌️ gestures.
2) Just as your fingerprint is unique to you, a dog's noseprint is completely distinct, with no two alike.
3) Along with panting, dogs will also sweat through their 🐾 paws in order to stay cool. This also gives them the added benefit of a better grip.
4) Yawning is contagious for dogs too! The yawn effect isn't just limited to humans; dogs can catch a yawn from those around them as well.
5) Forty-five percent of dogs in the United States sleep in their owners’ 🛌 beds.

The Pawshine State!
Guess what? Dogs are a big hit in Florida! Nearly 4 in 10 homes have a canine buddy, which fits right in with 😎 Florida's reputation as one of the most dog-friendly states. Interestingly, while dogs are really popular here, some other states actually have even more pup owners. Still, Florida's love for dogs is pretty impressive!

Stop Staring At Me!
Ever wonder why your dog can't seem to take their 👁️ eyes off you? That intense gaze could be a sign of affection, showing just how important you are to them. Your dog wants to keep eyes on you at all times, making sure you’re always in sight.
However, constant staring can also be a sign of separation anxiety. Dogs with separation anxiety may keep a close watch on their pet parents because they’re worried you might sneak out and leave them home alone. If you notice your dog exhibiting this behavior, chat with your vet or a professional 🐕 trainer who can help find ways to ease their anxiety.

My Dog Ate A Sock
What Should I Do?
Last week, I discovered that my dog, Ferris, had eaten part of a 🧦sock (see photo). This isn’t her first offense - back in March, she 💩 pooped out my daughter's small sock, which I didn't even know she had swallowed. Then, in late April, she swallowed another one. I had to take Ferris to the ER to induce 🤮 vomiting, and it came right out. Not wanting to take any risks, I did the same when it happened again in late July. This time, Ferris got to a large sock left on the staircase by my daughter’s friend. As you can see, part of it was missing. Read The Full Story. + Learn what to do if your dog swallows a sock.
