Cooling Meals Boost Digestion

Use this tip on especially ☀️ hot days when your dog seems less interested in food or is slow to cool down after walks. Serving a slightly chilled meal can support digestion, ease heat stress, and help bring appetite back during summer. Refrigerate your dog’s regular food for 30 to 60 minutes and serve it cool, not icy.

Limit this to once per week or twice during peak heat for healthy adult dogs. Avoid puppies, senior dogs with digestive issues, and dogs prone to vomiting or bloat. Add cool water after the meal to help with 💦 hydration without upsetting the stomach.

For A Good Cause

Celebrate Pawsmas 🐾 with Broward County Animal Care and help give a shelter pet a special holiday meal. This family-friendly event is a simple way to spread cheer to dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes.

Guests can hand out holiday 🦴 meals and treats, meet adoptable pets, and learn about fostering or volunteering with the shelter. Supplies for shelter animals are welcome and greatly ❤️ appreciated.

Support shelter pets with a donation if you are able. Check the donation list for needed items and ways to help make the holidays brighter for these animals.
