Fireworks Freak-Out?
Helping Your Dog Chill This July 4th
Got a nervous pup? Here are a few easy, natural ways to help keep tails relaxed while the skies ð go boom.
Try a calming frozen treat: Blend plain yogurt with a spoonful of peanut butter ðĨ and a drizzle of honey, then pour it into ice cube trays and freeze. The cool, tasty distraction helps soothe nerves (and keeps them busy during the booms).
Try a chamomile "pup tea" soak: Steep a chamomile tea bag in hot water, let it cool completely, then drizzle a bit over your dog's food or use it to lightly moisten treats. Chamomile can have a gentle calming ðĪ effect.
ð Bonus tip: close the blinds, turn on a fan or soft music to muffle sounds, and create a cozy "den" with their favorite blankets.

ðĪ Interesting Fact
No Lonely Dogs In Sweden
In Sweden, animal welfare regulations recommend that dogs shouldnât be left alone for more than four to six hours at a time. This helps protect their physical and emotional well-being, making sure they get the social interaction and activity they need.
Itâs so widely respected that many dog parents in Sweden use doggy day care while theyâre at work. Itâs just one more way the country shows its strong commitment to animal rights and humane treatment.
