🐕🦺 Bark into Wednesday with this...
Paws for a moment and check this out 🦴

Hey there, treat-dispensers and poop-bag warriors!
This week’s issue is a quick one - because, well… life happened. You know the drill: fur in the laundry, someone ate something they shouldn’t (again), and somehow it’s already Wednesday. We’ll be back with the full tail-wagging experience next week - but for now, here’s your bite-sized Broward Bark.
Today’s Highlights:

Paws For Thought
“A leash may guide, a bark may warn, but it’s the silent stare of a dog that teaches us trust is earned.”
Chamomile
Soothing Herbal Pet Care
Chamomile 🌼 is a gentle but powerful herb that doesn’t get enough credit in the dog world. It helps calm the nervous system, easing anxiety and stress - perfect for pups who freak out during 🌩️ storms or hate going to the vet. It also has anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties, which can settle upset tummies and gas. And if your dog’s dealing with itchy skin or minor irritation, chamomile can help with that too when applied on the outside.
To use it, just make a mild tea 🍵 by steeping 1 teaspoon of dried chamomile flowers in a cup of hot water for about 5 minutes. Let it cool all the way down. For internal use, add 1–2 teaspoons of the tea per 20 pounds of body weight to your dog’s food or water. Start small and see how they handle it. For skin issues, dip a clean cloth or cotton ball in the cooled tea and gently dab it on the affected area.
As always, check with your vet first - especially if your pup is on any medications - just to be safe!

Reading With Therapy Dogs
Struggling readers often shy away from reading aloud in class - but dogs 🐶 don’t judge. The Humane Society of Broward County’s Wags & Tales Reading Program pairs kids with gentle, non-judgmental therapy dogs in quiet spaces like libraries or schools. While building confidence and 📖 reading skills, students also learn how to safely interact with animals and discover the unconditional love of a furry friend.

Scent Of Time
Your Dog Can Actually Smell Time!
Here’s a fascinating fact 🤔 that'll make you look at your dog a little differently:
Dogs can actually smell 🕜 time. Their incredible noses can detect how scents change throughout the day. For example, your scent in the morning smells different than it does in the evening, and your dog picks up on that shift. That’s part of how they seem to “know” when it’s almost time for you to come home - by sniffing 🐽 how much your scent has faded since you left.
Turns out, they’re not just loyal - they’ve got a nose for time!
